Art DeBaugh has extensive experience assisting clients in developing brand strategies and protecting their marks. Mr. DeBaugh also provides counsel on leveraging intellectual assets for strategic advantage, maximizing revenue and tax planning. Prior to joining Parker Poe, Mr. DeBaugh was chief counsel – intellectual property at Sara Lee Corporation in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He was responsible for a trademark portfolio of more than 20,000 marks in the apparel/textile, food and beverage, and household consumer goods industries.

While at the University of North Carolina, Mr. DeBaugh was Research Editor of the North Carolina Law Review.
