Brandon Lewisohn has experience in a variety of public and private finance and real estate transactions.

While at Wake Forest University, Mr. Lewisohn was a member of the Wake Forest Law Review.

Experience Highlights

  • Working with national and international banking institutions, specifically such institutions’ municipal securities and fixed income finance groups, in their roles as letter of credit and liquidity provider in such areas as health care, educational and airport financings, qualified zone academy bonds (QZABs), student housing development for colleges and universities and project finance in general
  • Representation of financial institutions with respect to restructuring, conversion and refunding of outstanding auction rate debt of issuers
  • Representing institutional lenders and finance companies, as well as borrowers (for profit and nonprofit), in a variety of financing transactions, including syndicated financings, construction and permanent real estate loans, asset based loans, loan workouts and restructurings and the documentation of secured and unsecured working capital, term, acquisition and other credit facilities
  • Representation of mutual fund as a senior and a subordinate creditor in several workouts of defaulted housing revenue bonds. Represented mutual fund in the foreclosure and subsequent sale of collateral, consisting of multifamily housing apartment complexes.
  • Representing mortgage loan portfolio servicers in connection with single-site and multi-site loan assumptions, as well as consent, REMIC and general compliance issues
  • Representing issuers, underwriters and nonprofit institutions, including private colleges, secondary schools and charter schools, for various tax-exempt and taxable financings
  • Experience with revenue bonds, installment purchase financings, lease financings and certificates of participation financings
  • Served as bank counsel in transactions involving financial derivative products, such as forward purchase agreements, guaranteed investment contracts and interest rate swap agreements
