Dave Brown represents private and public sector clients in complex real estate transactions and focuses on public-private projects, joint ventures and large scale-transactions.
Mr. Brown previously managed real estate acquisitions for a nationwide land trust. While attending Vanderbilt University School of Law, he served as Honor Council President.

- Mixed-use projects done through public-private partnerships and other joint ventures, development agreements, declarations of property interests and permitting, including the:
- Wells Fargo / Duke Energy Center / City of Charlotte Cultural Campus
- BB&T Ballpark restructuring and refinancing, Winston-Salem
- Raleigh City Plaza – Site One – Convention Center project
- Infrastructure-driven transactions, such as the merger of three public sewer systems into a regional sewer authority
- Urban transactions involving air rights, subterranean rights, parking garages and other shared infrastructure
- Land Assemblages, including 410 acres from 6 independent sellers
- Bulk sales and acquisitions nationwide, including the:
- Sale of 52 office buildings in one closing
- Master lease and sale of 6 hotels
- Roll-up of 17 apartment projects into a REIT
- Purchase and financing of 50,000 acres of timberland
- Complex title matters
- Representing charities in their major transactions
- Purchase, sale and leasing of industrial facilities with major environmental issues
- Conservation easements for water quality, recreation, wildlife habitat and historic preservation
