Profile
Frank Ulmer concentrates his practice on litigation and disputes, including commercial and creditors’ rights litigation, professional malpractice defense and business tort defense.
Previously, Mr. Ulmer served on active duty in the United States Army Judge Advocate General’s (JAG) Corps, where he practiced as a trial and appellate attorney. Prior to joining Parker Poe, Mr. Ulmer clerked for the Honorable David C. Norton, Chief Judge, United States District Court for the District of South Carolina.
At Washington and Lee University School of Law, Mr. Ulmer was a Lead Articles Editor for the Washington & Lee Law Review.
Experience Highlights
- Represents a variety of professionals, including attorneys, engineers, appraisers, bankers, real estate agents and insurance agents in professional malpractice actions
- Represents companies in legal actions involving unfair trade practice, conspiracy, breach of fiduciary duty and other business tort claims
- Represents banks and other lending institutions in connection with non-performing commercial loans, including judicial foreclosures, claim and delivery actions, and lender liability actions
- Represents lenders in restructuring of distressed loans
