Ingrid Erwin concentrates her practice in the defense of employment and ERISA litigation. Ms. Erwin has tried cases in federal and state courts throughout the Southeast. She is certified as a specialist in Labor and Employment Law by the Supreme Court of South Carolina.

Experience Highlights

Ms. Erwin regularly advises and represents employers in the following areas:

• Sexual harassment
• EEOC proceedings and litigation under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and the  Americans with Disabilities Act 
• Fair Labor Standards Act and other claims regarding employee compensation
• Wrongful discharge,  breach of contract, retaliation, false imprisonment, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and conversion  claims 
• Covenants not to compete, confidentiality agreements, and protection of trade secrets and other proprietary information 
• Defense of disability, health, and retirement benefits claims under ERISA 
• Defense of non-ERISA insurance claims 
• Defense of various employment class action claims, including claims under the Age Discrimination in Employment Act and the Fair Labor Standards Act
