Profile

John Grupp heads the Firm’s Torts, Trials & Civil Disputes practice group. He is a trial lawyer who concentrates his litigation practice on complex civil disputes with an emphasis on products liability, professional malpractice and personal injury related torts.

Mr. Grupp is admitted to practice in all state courts in North Carolina and the federal district courts for the Western, Middle and Eastern Districts of North Carolina.

Experience Highlights

• Counsel and representation of various clients, including  manufacturers of medical devices, products and pharmaceuticals, health care providers, engineers, architects and related companies, petroleum distributors and insurance companies
• Representation of clients at all levels of state and federal court in numerous areas, including catastrophic claims, mass torts, product defects, personal injury, death and property damage, professional malpractice, insurance coverage and defense, commercial disputes and breach of contract
• Representation of clients in mass tort and complex products liability matters in national and multi-district litigation, including products such as pain and contraceptive patches, hip and knee implants and other pharmaceuticals
