Profile

Sarah Ford focuses her practice in the areas of employment litigation and employment counseling. Ms. Ford has experience working with government agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), and the North Carolina Department of Labor.

Ms. Ford has particular experience handling the employment issues faced by health care entities. Her clients include large and small medical practices, hospitals, hospice providers, mental health agencies and clinical laboratories.

Currently, Ms. Ford is a member of the Parker Poe Diversity Committee.

  • Compliance and litigation concerning Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the North Carolina Wage & Hour Act and the Fair Labor Standards Act

  • Wrongful discharge, retaliation, breach of contract, breach of covenants not to compete and other claims arising out of the employment relationship
  • Business-related immigration and visa law, including non-immigrant and immigrant matters and work authorization documentation requirements
