About Raleigh:

Parker Poe's Raleigh office is located in the heart of the state's political, educational and scientific activity. Raleigh and the cities of Durham and Chapel Hill, make up the world-class business and research center, the Research Triangle. Home to one of the world's largest research parks and three major universities: Duke University, North Carolina State University, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the Research Triangle has been one of the fastest growing areas in the country with more than one million residents from all over the world.

This area's economy consistently ranks among the best in the nation year after year due in large part to multinational pharmaceutical, computer software, telecommunications and biotechnology companies that blend with rapidly growing, technology-driven entrepreneurial companies. Parker Poe is pleased to include many of these outstanding companies, universities and governmental agencies among our clients in Raleigh.

The thriving business community, bolstered by the political activity of the state capital in Raleigh, has solidified the Triangle's placement on many national business magazine's lists as one of the best places to live and do business in the United States.

The Triangle offers its residents many cultural opportunities, including theaters, galleries, dance and musical events, as well as extensive parks, greenways and public athletic facilities. It is home to the North Carolina Symphony as well as three major universities, all of which offer spirited athletic events. The Carolina Hurricanes, the region's only NHL franchise, won the state's first major professional title in the battle for the 2006 Stanley Cup. In 2005, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill mens' basketball team proudly won the NCAA National Championship.

In addition to the many attractions in the Triangle, its central location offers residents access to the Blue Ridge Mountains and the beautiful coastline of the Carolinas.
