(CHARLOTTE, N.C.)—Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP announced today that Julie H. Seidenstein joined the Firm’s Banking & Finance practice as an associate in its Charlotte office.

Julie Seidenstein focuses primarily on commercial real estate and structured finance, specifically representation of mortgage loan portfolio servicers in senior and mezzanine loan assumptions, loan extensions for fixed rate and floating rate loans, loan modifications, cash management structures, leasing matters, as well as consent and general compliance issues.

Ms. Seidenstein also has experience representing institutional lenders and finance companies in originating commercial real estate loans for retail, office, hospitality, multifamily and mixed-use properties. In addition, she has represented issuers and loan portfolio servicers in secured and unsecured financial transactions and in connection with asset-backed securitizations.

This year, Ms. Seidenstein received the Jane V. Harper Pro Bono Attorney of the Year Award from the Mecklenburg County Bar (MCB), and is an active participant in the MCB’s Lunch with a Lawyer Program. Ms. Seidenstein is a Board Member of the Charlotte Women's Bar Association and Chair of its Nominations Committee. She is also a member of CREW Charlotte, Inc., where she is the upcoming 2011 Co-Chair of the Communications Committee.

Prior to joining Parker Poe, Ms Seidenstein practiced with various national and international law firms. She is a graduate of Seattle University (JD, magna cum laude, 2005) and the University of San Diego (BA, magna cum laude, 2002).
