(CHARLOTTE, NC)—Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP announced today that Andrea C. Chomakos joined the Firm’s Estate Planning & Trusts practice as a partner in its Charlotte office.

Drawing both from her prior work experience at a major public accounting firm and her masters of law in taxation, Ms. Chomakos represents closely-held business owners and high-net worth individuals to develop and implement sophisticated and comprehensive estate and gift tax planning strategies.

In addition, she provides advice and consultation regarding life insurance transactions. Ms. Chomakos also assists clients in forming public charities and private foundations and provides guidance to charitable organizations on Internal Revenue Code compliance.

Ms. Chomakos is a frequent speaker at professional conferences on estate planning and administration issues, as well as life insurance and charitable planning. She earned her LLM from New York University in 2001, and her JD, summa cum laude, from the University of Detroit in 1997. She earned her AB from the University of Michigan in 1993.
