Kristi Walters, Special Counsel and Director of Professional Development & Diversity, and Cathy Ward, Raleigh Office Administrator, were both honored with the 2009 Women in Business Award.  The award is presented by the Charlotte Business Journal and the Raleigh Business Journal in each of the two cities.  The winners are selected for demonstrating outstanding leadership in a corporate setting and in the community. 

Kristi, based in Parker Poe’s Charlotte office, is among 25 award winners in the Charlotte area including executives from US Airways, Duke Energy, Levine Children’s Hospital and UNC Charlotte, among other companies.  Cathy, based in Parker Poe’s Raleigh office, is among 26 professional women including executives from RBC Bank, NC State University and Peace College.  Both women were honored by the weekly business newspapers at a special awards luncheon in each of their cities.
