Parker Poe Names New Partners for 2013

(CHARLOTTE, N.C.)—Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP announced today that five attorneys have been elected partners in the firm.

Scott E. Bayzle is a member of Parker Poe’s Antitrust, Business Torts & White Collar Group. He works in the firm’s Raleigh office. Mr. Bayzle litigates commercial disputes for both large and small businesses and has extensive experience representing clients in federal and state courts (trial and appellate levels) and in arbitration tribunals. In 2011 and 2012 North Carolina Super Lawyers recognized him as a “Rising Star” in Business Litigation. Mr. Bayzle received his JD in 2005 and his BS in 2000, both from Wake Forest University.

William B. Cannon is a member of Parker Poe’s Intellectual Property Group. He works in the firm’s Raleigh office. Mr. Cannon focuses his practice in the areas of technology, internet and trademark law. He regularly negotiates multimillion dollar software agreements on behalf of his clients. He also litigates disputes concerning his clients’ trademarks and domain names before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the National Arbitration Forum. Mr. Cannon received his JD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2005 and his BS from Davidson College in 2002.

Sarah L. Ford is a member of Parker Poe’s Employment & Benefits Group. She works in the firm’s Raleigh office. Ms. Ford assists businesses in the areas of employment litigation and employment counseling and has experience defending employers against disgruntled employees and government agencies. She was named a recipient of the Triangle Business Journal’s “40 under 40” for 2012. Ms. Ford received her JD from New York University in 2003 and her BA from Miami University in 1996.

P. Michael Juby, Jr. is a member of Parker Poe’s Public Finance Group. He works in the firm’s Charlotte office. Mr. Juby has experience in a variety of public finance transactions, including higher education, water and sewer system and general governmental financings. In 2012, North Carolina Super Lawyers recognized Mr. Juby as a “Rising Star” in Bonds/Government Finance. He received his JD  from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2005 and his BS from North Carolina State University in 2000.

James C. Lesnett, Jr. is a member of Parker Poe’s Antitrust, Business Torts & White Collar Group. He works in the firm’s Charlotte office. Mr. Lesnett has extensive experience litigating complex business disputes in federal and state courts throughout the United States, including litigation involving business torts, unfair competition, trade secrets and financial services. He received his JD from Harvard University in 2004 and his BS from Bluefield College in Virginia in 2001.
