Economic development professionals and attorneys with Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP and Parker Poe Consulting have helped OMP Mechtron LLC expand its manufacturing presence in central South Carolina.
The company, a subsidiary of Italian based OMP Mechtron SpA, is establishing a new facility at 4335 Augusta Highway in Gilbert, SC, that will produce printed circuit board assemblies, electronic and electromechanical assemblies and wiring. The $2.9 million investment is expected to create 20 new jobs within the next five years. The Gilbert facility plans to begin hiring for new positions in the fall of 2016.
