Charleston partner Dick Unger gave an explanation of the laws governing easements and restrictive covenants at the Home Builders Association of South Carolina's Fall Convention in Greenville. He outlined his book, Treatise on the Law of Easements, published this year by the South Carolina Bar. Dick also discussed the obligation of developers and owners under the restrictive covenants and easements in a subdivision, as well pending homeowners' association (HOA) legislation that would be detrimental to developers and builders.
