Raleigh, N.C. – Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP is pleased to announce that Bruce Thompson is now serving as chair of the Administrative Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association (NCBA).

The NCBA’s Administrative Law Section is the leading organization in North Carolina serving the interest of lawyers who practice before state and local regulatory boards and commissions, the Office of Administrative Hearings, and occupational licensing boards. The section plays a critical role in the prompt and impartial resolution of disputes that involve administrative law. Before becoming chair, Bruce served as the section’s vice chair, its secretary, and as the chair of its Legislative Committee.

At Parker Poe, Bruce concentrates his practice in governmental and regulatory activities, including legislative representation and counsel before the United States Congress and the North Carolina General Assembly, strategy formulation, bill drafting, preparation of testimony for legislative committees, and appearances before state and federal executive agencies. He also focuses on economic development initiatives, having represented some of the nation’s largest companies in incentives negotiations with local and state officials.
