Joanna Hasapis focuses her practice on commercial real estate transactions. She serves a variety of clients, including financial institutions, real estate developers, homebuilders, renewable energy companies, telecommunications providers, and title insurance companies.

Prior to joining Parker Poe, she practiced with a Southeastern law firm in the areas of real estate and title resolution.

While attending law school, Joanna was a senior editor of the North Carolina Central Law Review and served as a legal extern for a regional bank, assisting in-house counsel with federal and state regulations affecting the banking industry.

Representative Experience

  • Represented and advised developers, municipalities, and other clients on development, property acquisition and disposition, and various real estate matters.
  • Represented and counseled title insurance companies in the resolution of title issues.
  • Advised clients in a variety of due diligence matters, including review of title, survey, site plans, subdivision plats, and restrictive covenants.
  • Addressed and negotiated resolution of various real estate disputes, including matters concerning title, access, encroachments, easements, restrictive covenants, invalid conveyances, and setback violations.
  • Prepared and negotiated commercial leases, easements, agreements, and other documents for tower companies and telecommunications providers.
