Lawrence Hershon's practice primarily focuses on construction, commercial litigation, and business disputes.
In his construction practice, he works with sureties, general contractors, architects, and engineers, helping them navigate large projects from beginning to end. When a dispute arises, Lawrence is skilled at finding solutions – including through litigation when necessary – to get a project back up and running. He also advises clients on leasing and other real estate-related transactions, and he counsels engineers and architects concerning professional liability matters. Lawrence appears regularly in both federal and state courts, including taking lawsuits to trial and to verdict.
In his general business and commercial litigation practice, Lawrence works with manufacturers, banks, and others on disputes involving breach of contract, negligence claims, unfair trade practices, financial products, and other disputes. He also works with clients on business transactions, including business formation, mergers and acquisitions, and commercial contract matters.
Prior to attending law school, Lawrence worked for the United States Senate Budget Committee. While in business school, he interned for the front office of the Washington Nationals Baseball Club.
While at the University of South Carolina, Lawrence was the managing editor of the South Carolina Law Review.
