Parker Poe Names Seven New Partners

Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP announced today that seven attorneys have become partners in the Firm. The new partners are: Jonathan W. Dion, William L. Esser IV, Jami Jackson Farris and John C. Jaye in Charlotte, William S. Fultz in Raleigh, L. Elizabeth Gibbes in Spartanburg and Ellis R. Lesemann in Charleston.

Jonathan Dion is a member of the Real Estate & Commercial Development Practice Group and concentrates his practice in the area of commercial real estate and commercial lending, including leasing, acquisitions, development and financing. He received his JD, cum laude, from Wake Forest University and his BA, magna cum laude, from the University of New Hampshire. Mr. Dion is admitted to the North Carolina State Bar.

Will Esser, a member of the Financial, Commercial and Construction Disputes Practice Group, focuses his practice primarily on commercial litigation, bankruptcy and creditors' rights, and foreclosure and loan servicing litigation. He received his JD, magna cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame and his BA, summa cum laude, from Belmont Abbey College. Mr. Esser is admitted to the North Carolina State Bar and the Florida State Bar.

Jami Farris is a member of the Financial, Commercial and Construction Disputes Practice Group and concentrates her practice in the area of commercial and construction litigation. She received her JD, with honors, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a BA from the College of William and Mary. Ms. Farris is admitted to the North Carolina State Bar.

John Jaye, a member of the Business Law Practice Group, focuses his practice in the area of securities and corporate finance. Mr. Jaye received his JD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his AB from Duke University. He is admitted to the North Carolina State Bar and the Illinois State Bar.

Evan Fultz, a member of the Business Law Practice Group, concentrates his practice in the area of intellectual property law. He received his JD from the University of Virginia and his BA, with distinction, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Mr. Fultz is admitted to the bars of North Carolina, the District of Columbia and Virginia.

Elizabeth Gibbes is a member of the Business Law Practice Group. Her practice includes corporate and business law, with a principal focus on business immigration and commercial law. Ms. Gibbes received her JD and her LLM, International and Comparative Law, from Duke University. She received her BA, cum laude, with honors, from Davidson College. Ms. Gibbes is admitted to the South Carolina State Bar and the North Carolina State Bar.

Ellis Lesemann is a member of the Employment Practice Group. He concentrates his practice in the areas of employment law, commercial litigation, business disputes and real property disputes. Mr. Lesemann received a JD and a Master of International Business Studies from the University of South Carolina. He received his BA from the University of South Carolina. He is admitted to the South Carolina State Bar.
