Parker Poe, Once Again, Welcomes Largest Class of Fall Associates

Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP has announced that 17 associates joined the law firm as members of its Fall class of 2007.  “We continue to grow at all levels and locations of our firm,” said Managing Partner William P. Farthing, Jr.  “The size and diverse assignments of this associate class represent an important component of our commitment to meet clients’ growing and broadening legal needs.”
 
New associates have been assigned to each of the Firm’s three departments.  They will be based in both North and South Carolina offices and, for the fourth consecutive year, comprise the largest fall associate class in firm history.  Kimberly A. Bierenbaum, LaToya S. Brown, Jessica C. Dixon, Mary Katherine Hackney, Spence W. Hanemann, Steven D. Hardgrave, Stefanie L. Moody, Chara M. Moore, Shalanna L. Pirtle, Morgan H. Rogers, Kimberly J. Tacy, Sara E. Ventura and Matthew P. Weiner joined the firm in the Charlotte office.  Matthew H. Mall and Jamie S. Schwedler joined the firm in the Raleigh office.  Amanda C. Williams joined the firm in the Charleston office.  Julie A. Overstreet joined the firm in the Columbia office.
 
The following associates have joined the Litigation Department:

  • Matthew H. Mall received his JD from the College of William and Mary in 2007 and his BA from the University of Virginia in 2002.
  • Steven D. Hardgrave received his JD from Washington & Lee University in 2007 and his BS, magna cum laude, from the University of Arkansas in 2003.
  • Jessica C. Dixon received her JD, magna cum laude, from American University in 2007 and her BA, with highest distinction, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2003.
  • Morgan H. Rogers received his JD, with honors, cum laude, from the University of South Carolina in 2007 and his BA, with honors, cum laude, from Wake Forest University in 2004.
  • Matthew P. Weiner received his JD, with honors, in 2007 and his BA in 2003 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
  • Amanda C. Williams received her JD and BCL from Louisiana State University in 2007 and her BS, magna cum laude, from Clemson University in 2004.

The following have joined our Regulatory Department:

  • Mary Katherine Hackney received her JD, with honors, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2007 and her BA from Duke University in 2004.
  • Kimberly A. Bierenbaum received her JD from George Mason University in 2007 and her BS from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 2004.
  • Shalanna L. Pirtle received her JD from the University of Georgia in 2007 and her BA from Indiana University in 2002.
  • Jamie S. Schwedler received her JD, with honors, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2007 and her BA, magna cum laude, from Clemson University in 2000.
  • Julie A. Overstreet received her JD in 2007 and her BA in 1996 from the University of South Carolina.

The following have joined our Transactional Department:

  • LaToya S. Brown received her JD from Vanderbilt University in 2007 and her BA, with distinction, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2002.
  • Stefanie L. Moody received her JD from Wake Forest University in 2007 and her BBA, cum laude, from the University of Georgia in 2004.
  • Sara E. Ventura received her JD from the College of William and Mary in 2007 and her BA, summa cum laude, from Clemson University in 2003.
  • Chara M. Moore received her JD from the College of William and Mary in 2007 and her BA from the University of Virginia in 2004.
  • Kimberly J. Tacy received her JD, with honors, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2007 and her BS, summa cum laude, from Florida State University in 2004.
  • Spence W. Hanemann received his JD from Boston College in 2007 and his BA, magna cum laude, from Tulane University in 1999.

“We’re also extremely pleased that we attracted associates from ten different law schools, yet another record number for our fall associate class,” added Farthing.
