Parker Poe Names Four New Partners

Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP announced today that four attorneys have been elected partners in the Firm.

Nicholle Allen-Steele, a member of the Real Estate & Commercial Development Group in the Raleigh office, focuses her practice on commercial real estate transactions involving acquisitions and sales, development, financing and office and retail leasing. She manages the real estate components of mergers and acquisitions and advises telecommunications companies on site acquisition and municipal franchise issues. She also represents institutional lenders and borrowers in a variety of financing transactions. Ms. Allen-Steele received her JD from the Catholic University of America and her BS from Drexel University.
Amanda A. Hayes, a member of the Corporate & Securities Group in the Raleigh office, counsels clients on a range of mergers and acquisitions and commercial contracts matters. Ms. Hayes regularly advises clients on the legal aspects of business transactions, including negotiated transactions, corporate reorganizations and restructurings, general corporate representation and commercial contracts. Ms. Hayes received her JD, with honors, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her BA, magna cum laude, from the University of Delaware.
Michael E. Kozlarek, a member of the Public Finance Group in the Columbia office, focuses his practice on the areas of public finance and economic development for municipalities and counties.  He assists these clients and school districts in the issuance of bonds and other instruments to fund capital projects and operating expenses. He advises counties in all aspects of economic development, and represents both foreign and domestic companies in the negotiation of economic development incentives in the Carolinas. Mr. Kozlarek received his JD, Master of International Business Studies and Master of Criminal Justice from the University of South Carolina and his AB from Princeton University.

Michael Larsen, a member of the Public Finance Group in the Charleston office, focuses his practice on the tax issues related to public finance transactions. He has experience in a wide variety of public finance transactions, having served as bond counsel, underwriter’s counsel, borrower’s counsel and special tax counsel on financings for, among other entities, state and local governments, cultural institutions, public and private universities, hospital systems, water and sewer authorities, and single family and multi-family housing authorities. Mr. Larsen received his JD from Georgetown University and his BA, magna cum laude, from the University of Baltimore.
