  • June 01, 2015
Charleston, S.C.— Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP announces that Grace Wung has joined the firm’s energy law practice as Special Counsel with a focus on regulatory compliance, tariff administration and rate proceedings. Working alongside Partner J. Ashley Cooper, Grace will counsel energy clients on navigating the broad range of state and federal regulations clients face today.

Grace brings invaluable professional experience having worked at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), and having appeared in private practice before the FERC and numerous state commissions. She will work with clients including consumers, participants in organized markets, renewable developers, independent system operators and regulated public utilities on retail and wholesale matters before both state regulatory commissions and FERC.

Prior to joining Parker Poe, Grace served as Associate General Counsel for a regulated public utility in the western U.S. She developed a proven track record in a variety of matters in front of the FERC including open access transmission service, generator interconnection service, transmission interconnections, acquisitions and dispositions of jurisdictional facilities, compliance with FERC and the North American Electric Reliability Corporation requirements, rate proceedings and Public Utility Regulatory Policies Act requirements. Grace earned her JD from American University and her BA from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.

"Grace's wealth of experience and knowledge of case law, practice and industry precedence make her a tremendous addition to the firm,” said Partner Henry Campen, Partner and head of Parker Poe’s Energy group. “With Grace on our team, Parker Poe’s energy practice now includes another seasoned FERC lawyer with prior in-house counsel experience, significantly expanding our client scope and capabilities in the energy industry arena.”
