Chara O'Neale, an associate in the Health Care group in Charlotte, focuses her practice on the representation of hospitals, physician groups and other health care providers. She assists health care providers with HIPAA compliance issues as well as operational and governance concerns such as risk management, organizational policies, procedures and general contract matters. She also assists her clients on business law matters that include merger and acquisition transactions.
Chara is not only involved in Parker Poe’s Diversity Committee and Recruiting Committee, she is also actively engaged in community service. She serves on the board of directors for the Council for Children’s Rights, a Charlotte nonprofit whose mission is to stand up for every child’s right to be safe, healthy and educated. Chara also serves on the board of directors for the Mecklenburg Bar Foundation, in which she seeks to raise awareness and assist the board in supporting the charitable and educational goals of the Mecklenburg County Bar.
