Atlanta, Ga. – Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP is strengthening its position as a leading government relations resource in the Southeast through the expansion of Parker Poe Consulting into Georgia.
Parker Poe Consulting is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the firm with experienced professionals who provide public policy strategy and legislative relations at the local, state, and national level. Lobbyists Amy Odom and Chuck McMullen are joining Parker Poe Consulting to launch its Georgia office.
“The addition of Amy Odom, Chuck McMullen, and an Atlanta office is perfectly timed to help Parker Poe Consulting clients navigate the political landscape that is emerging as we head into 2018,” says Parker Poe Managing Partner Tom Griffin. “They have the knowledge, relationships and experience to design and implement strategic public policy initiatives that will drive results for clients in both the public and private sectors.”
Amy and Chuck have served on opposite sides of the political aisle with impressive track records of legislative successes. Combined, they have more than 40 years of experience providing government relations services to clients in the energy infrastructure, environmental, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, and health care industries. In addition, they have deep political and business networks, as well as a reputation for managing complex legislative issues at the local, state, regional, and national level.
“With Amy and Chuck, our consulting subsidiary in Columbia expands its strong government relations footprint to another state capital,” says Tracy Kimbrell, an attorney who leads Parker Poe’s Government Relations & Lobbying practice. “This is a natural step that will serve the firm’s clients and solidify Parker Poe’s presence in the Atlanta market and across Georgia.”
Although Parker Poe Consulting LLC is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP, it is a separate entity, is not a law firm, and does not provide legal services. Consequently, Parker Poe Consulting LLC is not subject to the rules of professional conduct applicable to lawyers and law firms, and its clients do not have the benefit of the protections of the attorney-client relationship.
