Raleigh, N.C. – Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP is pleased to announce that Matt Wolfe has been selected vice chair of the Behavioral Health Task Force for the American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA). He will play an important role in executing the Behavioral Health Task Force’s Strategic Plan, educational programming, and activities.
The AHLA is the nation’s largest nonpartisan organization devoted to legal issues in the health care field. It has nearly 14,000 members that include in-house counsel, compliance and privacy officers, finance officers, health care consultants, and regulatory professionals. Its Behavioral Health Task Force works to advance the understanding of behavioral health laws and their impact on the delivery and reimbursement of services for those living with mental illness, certain neurological conditions, substance use disorders, or developmental disabilities.
Matt has previously served as co-chair of the task force’s State and Government Subcommittee. At Parker Poe, Matt guides clients through the evolving legal and regulatory environment to meet their business needs and the needs of those they serve. Clients have relied on him to navigate federal and state health reform, Medicaid and Medicare changes, and a broad variety of health law and policy.
Matt’s two-year term as vice chair began July 1.
