Matt Wolfe was quoted in Home Health Care News on the key trends for providers to be aware of heading into 2020. He touched on a variety of topics, including a likely uptick in audits under the federal government's new Patient-Driven Groupings Model (PDGM).
"They’re not going to provide you any type of grace period to come into compliance with the expectation,” Matt said to providers as part of a panel at HHCN's annual summit. “If CMS is providing clarification about what PDGM is, make sure you get that documented because you’re going to want to retain that five years later when you’re getting a recoupment demand for hundreds of thousands or millions of dollars based on a different interpretation of what’s required.”
