Matt Wolfe was quoted in Home Health Care News about home care agencies seeking clarification on whether they are exempt from Congress' major expansion of paid leave benefits in response to the coronavirus pandemic.
“We’re getting lots of calls,” Matt told the publication. “One major question that we’ve been seeing a lot of is ‘Are nonmedical home care providers [considered] part of the definition of health care providers — or, more specifically, home health care providers?’”
Matt explained that they likely are based on previous definitions the U.S. Labor Department has used.
