(COLUMBIA, S.C.)—Jason J. Puhlasky has joined Parker Poe Consulting, a governmental affairs consulting firm, as an Associate. Mr. Puhlasky will be working with veteran lobbyists Vicki Clarke Parker of Columbia and Stephen H. Smith of Spartanburg, and Dan Cooper, former legislator and immediate past chairman of the House Ways and Means committee.
Mr. Puhlasky has more than 14 years of experience in political campaigns, lobbying, grassroots networking and media relations, most recently working with McGuireWoods Consulting LLC as a consultant and vice president of state government relations. Mr. Puhlasky previously represented clients before the South Carolina Legislature at a political consulting firm, where he specialized in education, environmental and economic development issues.
Mr. Puhlasky served as the South Carolina Political Director for the George W. Bush presidential campaign in 1999. He also served as the Political Director for the South Carolina Republican Party and the Director of the South Carolina Senate Republican Caucus.
