(CHARLOTTE, N.C.)—Three new attorneys have joined Parker Poe in the firm’s Charlotte and Raleigh Offices.
Vanessa L. Clark works in Parker Poe’s Charlotte office as a member of the Corporate/M&A Practice Group. She represents public and private entities in general corporate and merger and acquisition transactions. Prior to joining Parker Poe, Ms. Clark worked for an international firm in New York, representing clients that included commercial and investment banks, other financial institutions and public and private companies in all aspects of securities matters. She received her JD from Duke University in 2009 and her BA from the University of Miami in 2006.
Joanna J. Hasapis works in Parker Poe’s Raleigh office as a member of the Real Estate & Commercial Development Practice Group. She serves a variety of clients, including financial institutions, developers, renewable energy companies, telecommunications providers and title insurance companies, in commercial real estate and financing transactions. Prior to joining Parker Poe, Ms. Hasapis practiced with a southeastern law firm in the areas of real estate and title resolution. She received her JD, summa cum laude, from North Carolina Central University in 2011 and her BS, cum laude, from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 2008.
Nicolas E. Tosco works in Parker Poe’s Charlotte office as a member of the Government & Public Policy Practice Group. He practices in the areas of local government law and litigation, and assists municipalities, governmental agencies and private clients on zoning and land use regulation, eminent domain, public records and administrative law issues. Mr. Tosco previously worked as a Legislative Specialist for the North Carolina League of Municipalities and as the Legislative Director for the Office of State Senator Dan Clodfelter before entering law school. He received his JD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2013 and his BA from North Carolina State University in 2008.
