M. Todd Haynie III


Todd Haynie focuses his transactional work in commercial lending, real estate, and corporate law. He has represented both major lending institutions and borrowers in a variety of financing transactions, including construction and permanent real estate loans, asset-based loans, and loan workouts and restructurings. He also provides general corporate advice to clients.

Before joining Parker Poe, Todd was previously a partner with Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd in Columbia.

At the University of South Carolina School of Law, Todd was the associate editor-in-chief of the South Carolina Law Review.

Representative Experience

  • Represented lenders in connection with origination of commercial construction loans.
  • Represented borrowers in acquisition and development of commercial and retail projects.
  • Acted as real estate counsel in connection with low-income housing tax credit closings.
  • Represented lenders in working capital, term, and other credit facilities.
  • Negotiated loan workouts and the restructuring of existing loans.
  • Advised corporate clients in organizational and operational matters.
