ARRIVAL
Wild Dunes is a gated resort located on the Isle of Palms. Please give the Welcome Gate your first and last name and you will be directed accordingly. The Parker Poe registration table will be located in the Osprey Ballroom Foyer in the Sweetgrass Inn Hotel between 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm. Check-In time is 4pm.

Valet Parking is complimentary. Self-park is also available.

DEPARTURE
Check-Out time is 11am.

AIRPORT SHUTTLE
Shuttle to the airport on Sunday will leave at 7:15am from the Sweetgrass Inn Loop.

ATTIRE
All weekend meeting and activity attire will be resort casual. Please dress in weather-appropriate attire for Friday’s dinner (outside) and your activity (should it be outdoors).

NAME BADGE COLOR IDENTIFIER
If you have a colored dot on the back of your lanyard, that refers to the table you will be sitting at Saturday morning. Please refer to the below list for reference.

GOLF OUTING 

1PM - 5PM | TROLLEY TO COURSE @12:15 FROM SWEETGRASS INN

Location: The Links Golf Course

Important Details: Tee Times start beginning at 1:00PM and teams will go off every 10 minutes. A trolley to the Links Course will depart from the Sweetgrass Inn front drive beginning at 12:15 and commence as many loops as needed for golfer transport.

You may pick up a box lunch and drink at the Osprey Ballroom Foyer prior to departing for the golf course.

What to Bring: Golf Clubs, Golf Balls

SPA DAY

12PM - 5PM | ON-SITE AT WILD DUNES

Location: The Sweetgrass Spa in Village Plaza

Important Details: As with previous years, an “activity credit” will be provided and any difference in service cost will be paid by the individual after the retreat.

Appointment times have been pre-assigned. Please contact Karen Turner for scheduling information.

CAPERS BOAT TOUR

1PM - 3:30PM | SHUTTLE RUNNING ON LOOP TO AND FROM IOP MARINA STARTING AT 12:30

Location: The Isle of Palms Marina [50 41st Ave, Isle of Palms, SC 29451]

Important Details: Meet at the green “Barrier Island Eco Tours” sign on the right side of the “Marina Market” general store where you will check in with your Captain. Please dress weather-appropriate.

GUIDED KAYAK TOUR

2PM - 4PM | SHUTTLE RUNNING ON LOOP TO AND FROM IOP MARINA STARTING AT 1:00

Location: The Isle of Palms Marina [50 41st Ave, Isle of Palms, SC 29451]
We are located to the left of the restaurant by the water. Once you pull into the parking lot, head to the back left-hand corner. We are in a painted watercolor trailer right near the dock.

Important Details: Morgan Creek and the connecting estuaries give you the opportunity to immerse yourself in the beauty of the Isle of Palms. 

What to Bring: Shoes that will stay on your feet, a hat, water bottle, towel

"SAVOR THE FLAVOR" CULINARY TOUR

2PM - 4:30PM | BUS PICKS UP PROMPTLY AT 1:00

Learn about the evolution of Charleston cuisine in 2.5 hrs. Expect a nibble of a few of Charleston’s absolute essentials: grits, benne wafers, local gourmet chocolate, Southern pralines, sweet tea, collard greens, and Lowcountry barbecue.

Location: Tour guides will meet groups at US Customs House [200 East Bay Street]

Important Details: Tours are held rain or shine on foot. Please wear appropriate footwear and attire.

CANDLE MAKING CLASS

2PM - 3:30PM | BUS PICKS UP PROMPTLY AT 1:00

Learn how to blend wax and fragrance oil, wick your jars, and pour two 9oz glass jars to take home.

Location: Sweetgrass Pavilion Bus Pick-Up to Candlefish Charleston Workshop [270 B King Street]

Important Details: You will make TWO 9oz jar candles. YOUR CANDLES MUST SIT OVERNIGHT. They can be collected the next day after 10am OR shipped to you (please convey your preference to your Candler).

CRAFT BREWERY TOUR

1PM - 5PM | BUS LEAVES PROMPTLY AT 1:00

Guests will have the opportunity to chat with a local beer aficionado, discuss the Charleston brewery scene, and sample some of our select favorite brews. Cheers!

Location: Sweetgrass Pavilion Parking Loop

Important Details: Crafted Travel CHS will be your host as you are driven around the Charleston Peninsula to 3 brewery stops.

COCKTAIL MAKING CLASS

1:30PM - 3PM | ON-SITE AT WILD DUNES

Guests will work in teams, using a selection of familiar and pleasantly exotic ingredients, to concoct their own punch and present to the whole group after a set amount of time.

Location: Tides Ballroom C

Important Details: Work in teams to concoct a Bourbon Punch using a selection of both familiar and exotic ingredients while learning about the History of liquors.

SAILING THE CHARLESTON HARBOR

2PM - 4PM | BUS FROM CHARLESTON HARBOR TOUR PICKUP BY 1:00

One of our qualified captains will safely escort you through your voyage. Guests are encouraged to take the helm and participate as much they desire or are welcome to sit back and enjoy the ride.

Location: Sweetgrass Inn Parking Loop

Important Details: As we pull away from the dock, help us hoist the sails if you wish, and then sit back and watch the wind fill them, moving the Schooner Pride through the waters and past some of the most historic sites in the country.
