Alex Kerrison is part of a team of attorneys who provide practical solutions to the complex as well as the routine intellectual property needs of clients.​ She also is part of a team of litigators who represent clients before state and federal courts, governmental agencies, and national and international arbitration panels in the Southeast and around the world.

Alex serves on the local patent rules law committee for the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina and will also serve as a law clerk for District Court Judge Mary Geiger Lewis in Columbia. 

Alex earned her law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law. While in law school, she was an intern for Judge Cameron M. Currie for the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina and Judge J. Michelle Childs for the DC Circuit Court of Appeals, and worked with South Carolina Legal Services and the Federal Public Defender. She also served as research editor for the South Carolina Law Review and held leadership roles in the Christian Legal Society and the Intellectual Property Law Society.

Alex earned her bachelor's degree from Georgia Tech, with a degree in industrial and systems engineering, concentrating on supply chain. As part of her undergraduate studies, she completed a capstone project for a national retailer, where she helped optimize online ordering delivery systems.

Alex is a Charleston native whose family has lived in the city for generations.
