Brandon Bordeaux has more than 25 years of experience with telecommunications, corporate leasing, and other commercial real estate transactions. His clients include international leaders in their industries, and he helps them with their real estate portfolios across the U.S.

Brandon has a deep understanding of the wireless and wireline telecommunications industry. His practice covers all aspects of the industry, including representing and advising tower companies, site acquisition companies, surveyors, appraisers, title companies, and engineering companies. His experience includes advising on small cells and indoor and outdoor distributed antenna systems (DAS). He also represents wireless infrastructure companies and providers, as well as property owners and landlords, in leasing, purchasing, selling, and licensing property.

Brandon's leasing experience extends beyond telecom to retail, general office, medical office, lab, industrial, warehouse, and renewable energy leases. He is a leader of Parker Poe's Corporate Leasing Team and has extensive experience negotiating leases for landlords and tenants. He supports in-house counsel and real estate management teams throughout the entire leasing process, from letter of intent through lease negotiations, tenant improvements, guaranties, financing, and third-party approvals.   

Representative Experience

Telecommunications Experience

  • Assisted an international wireless infrastructure company with managing and extending existing tower asset leases and/or acquiring additional property interests in over 5,000 tower sites; drafting and negotiating purchase agreements, leases and amendments, easements, and deeds, along with assisting in all aspects of closing on each of those, including resolving title issues.
  • Negotiated site leases and licenses for the installation and operation of indoor DAS and communications networks within office buildings, health care facilities, and multiple-building projects.
  • Represented owner of national portfolio of office buildings with regard to its space for use by both macro and micro communications systems.
  • Represented regional wholesale fiber optic service provider in the purchase of fiber network and all related assets, including acquisitions of related fiber agreements.
  • Negotiated multiple indefeasible rights of use (IRU) and leases for fiber and capacity.
  • Represented regional telecommunications company in obtaining competitive local exchange carrier (CLEC) licenses in multiple states.

Corporate Leasing Experience

  • Advised on national leasing and renewals for a medical laboratory with over 3,500 locations.
  • Served as national real estate counsel to a major retail consumer brand, advising on new commercial and ground lease agreements, as well as renewals and terminations, across thousands of stores in the U.S.
  • Represented both landlords and tenants in big-box retail transactions, including assignments, subletting, and title insurance issues related to all types of leases.
  • Represented leading U.S. renewable energy companies in negotiating leases for solar facilities.

Other Real Estate Experience

  • Represented a regulated utility on its acquisitions of real estate for energy-related purposes.
  • Handled a wide variety of commercial real estate transactions, including the acquisition, sale, leasing, and financing of retail, warehouse, shopping center, and office space.
