Charlie Harmon guides developers, owners, and corporate real estate teams on leasing and development. He has spent more than a decade helping clients advance retail, industrial, warehouse, and other development projects across the United States. As a former real estate in-house counsel at a Fortune 500 automotive retailer, Charlie brings a unique perspective on what corporate tenants need for fast, scalable growth.

Charlie represents developers and national companies in negotiating retail, warehouse, industrial, office, build-to-suit, and ground leases. He also advises on the acquisition, development, financing, and sale of commercial properties, backed by broad experience with title and survey review and coordination of complex closings.

Before going in-house, Charlie spent almost 10 years in private practice working closely with developers on all aspects of ground-up development, from securing land and financing to leasing and selling stabilized assets. He also supported corporate clients on the real estate components of mergers and acquisitions transactions. 

Charlie earned his law degree from Duke University. He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

  • Represented developer in multiple build-to-suit retail projects for a national retail tenant.
  • Represented various borrowers in negotiation of loan documents, including construction and permanent financing.
  • Represented developer in multiple build-to-suit medical office projects throughout Western North Carolina.
  • Represented developer in acquisition, development, construction financing, leasing, and sale of 2.4-million-square-foot industrial park in Pennsylvania.
  • Represented various landlords in leasing retail, warehouse, industrial, and office space.
  • Represented developer in acquiring, developing, leasing, and financing industrial, office, and retail projects.
  • Represented tenants in leasing retail space in shopping centers in Southeast and mid-Atlantic states.
