Connor Hoy is a litigator who represents businesses and individuals in a multifaceted state and federal practice comprised of construction, commercial development, and condemnation litigation across the Southeast.
Prior to joining Parker Poe, Connor practiced with a midsize insurance defense firm in Charleston, South Carolina, where he advised on complex business litigation, trucking and transportation defense, real property litigation, construction litigation, and personal injury defense.
Connor has experience negotiating settlements in mediation and litigation. He has also participated in judicial and administrative hearings and conducted and defended depositions on behalf of his clients.
While attending the Charleston School of Law, Connor served as a law clerk for the Office of Ocean Coastal Resource Management and the Capital Trial Division for South Carolina’s Commission on Indigent Defense.
Before beginning his legal career, Connor worked for an international consulting firm in Washington, DC, that advised many of the largest health care systems in the U.S. on how to implement cost estimation tools to deliver patients with transparent pricing information for routine surgeries.
Connor is a leader within the Environment and Natural Resources Section of the South Carolina Bar. He was elected by his peers within the legal community to serve on its council. Connor is also an active member of the South Carolina Defense Trial Attorneys’ Association and is a graduate of the Defense Trial Academy.
Connor currently resides in Charleston, South Carolina, with his wife and their beloved springer spaniel, Beatrice.
