Emily Poe is a former assistant district attorney who now focuses on professional negligence defense. She has defended employers and insurance companies against claims of occupational injuries and counseled clients on state-specific administrative law procedures.
Earlier in her career, Emily served as an assistant district attorney for Mecklenburg County, where she prosecuted felony and misdemeanor offenses, including conducting jury and bench trials.
Before entering the legal field, Emily taught language arts at a Charlotte middle school as part of the Teach for America program. She received her undergraduate degree from Sewanee and her law degree from Tulane University.
