Jake Parrott is a commercial real estate attorney with extensive experience advising clients in retail, renewable energy, multifamily housing, manufacturing, and other industries. He advises on commercial real estate portfolios and transactions, including the development, acquisition, and sale of all commercial property types, as well as leasing, financing, and lending. His clients include global, national, and regional leaders in their industries. 

Jake has been a leader within the North Carolina Bar Association's Real Property Section, having served on its council. He is also an active member of the North Carolina Bankers Association.

Jake has a passion for community service. He is a board member for Habitat for Humanity of North Carolina and Emmaus House, which provides safe, affordable housing for recovering male addicts in Raleigh. He is also a past president or board member of several nonprofits in the Rocky Mount area. 

Representative Experience

  • Managed a leading national grocery chain’s real estate footprint across the Southeast. 
  • Advised a global manufacturer on its real estate needs around the United States. 
  • Represented one of the country’s largest utilities in the real estate components of a complicated tax equity deal involving multiple renewable energy sites.
  • Represented a leading global renewable energy company in the financing and sale of a large North Carolina solar installation. 
  • Advised a regional developer of affordable housing communities on its real estate deals in the Southeast.
  • Shepherded a pro bono project to convert a former church into a large affordable housing development for senior citizens in downtown Raleigh; advised on deeds, real property titles, leasing, financing, zoning, and other legal issues.
  • Advised a national relocation company on its transactions throughout North Carolina.
  • Represented a North Carolina college in connection with construction financing for new dorms.
