Jeff Morris focuses his practice on estate tax planning for business owners, real estate developers, and other clients. He is a North Carolina State Bar board certified specialist in estate planning and probate law. He also maintains several Q&A guides on estate planning topics for Practical Law, a Thomson Reuters product that reaches a global audience of corporate law departments and law firms.

Jeff has deep experience preparing and implementing transfers with irrevocable trusts such as dynasty trusts or spousal lifetime access trusts (SLATs), as well as other sophisticated gift tax strategies to minimize transfer taxes, including generation-skipping transfer taxes. His practice also includes providing guidance for specific issues related to partnerships, S corporations, and limited liability companies.
