Joe Whalley concentrates his practice on banking and capital markets. He is part of a team that structures and negotiates complex financial transactions, including securitizations, debt offerings, and mortgage-backed lending.
Prior to joining Parker Poe, Joe was an associate at one of the world's 40 largest law firms. He received his law degree from Wake Forest University, where he was vice president of the Student Bar Association and an articles editor for the Journal of Business & Intellectual Property Law. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Georgia and served as vice president of its club cycling program. He remains an avid cyclist, runner, and sports fan.
