Kate Abdullah represents major lending institutions in commercial financing transactions secured by real estate and business assets. Her practice includes construction loans, acquisition and development financing, term loans, revolving credit facilities, and borrowing base structures. She brings a practical, business-oriented approach focused on closing loans smoothly and efficiently.
Kate has handled transactions ranging from $100,000 to $100 million across a broad range of asset types, including self-storage facilities, industrial properties, homebuilder lines of credit, multifamily and affordable housing developments (including LIHTC deals), restaurants, multi-tenant shopping centers, ground leases, and syndicated loans. As a member of Parker Poe’s Corporate Leasing Team, Kate reviews leasehold title policies for a national retail tenant and supports a life sciences company with site acquisition and leasing across the country.
Before joining Parker Poe, Kate interned for the Honorable Michelle Childs of the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina. She previously worked in the employee benefits industry. Kate earned her law degree from the University of South Carolina, graduating third in her class and serving as an associate editor-in-chief of the South Carolina Law Review.
