Lucy Anderson focuses her practice on defending employers in state and federal courts. She represents companies regarding claims arising under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), and the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and counsels clients on litigation risk and trial and settlement strategies. Lucy is a dedicated advocate and ensures that employers receive thoughtful and creative counsel.
She also advises companies and management by responding to Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and Department of Labor (DOL) charges and leading pre-suit investigations of employment and wage and hour complaints.
Lucy began her legal career as a civil litigator focused on commercial litigation, personal injury defense, product liability, and premises liability. She conducted pre-suit investigations for employment-related incidents, including alcohol liability and wrongful death claims.
Lucy earned her law degree from Loyola University New Orleans. During law school, she was the president of the Association of Women Law Students and a published member of the Maritime Law Journal, writing on the prevalence of employment arbitration agreements in the cruise ship industry. She earned a bachelor's degree from Appalachian State University.
