Spencer Barrow is a skilled litigator who primarily focuses his practice on representing developers, design professionals, contractors, and other construction industry stakeholders in connection with high-value disputes arising in connection with construction projects.
In addition to having significant experience in prosecuting and defending against construction defect claims, professional negligence claims, delay claims, non-payment claims, and insurance coverage claims, Spencer has a wealth of experience in representing companies in complex commercial litigation, which enables him to offer strategic advice on a broad range of issues. Spencer has sat first chair during a bench trial, sat second chair during a jury trial, and served as lead counsel for clients in pre-trial civil litigation, pre-hearing arbitration, and mediation. He has been instrumental in securing favorable outcomes in all three types of dispute resolution.
Before joining Parker Poe, Spencer practiced at two regional law firms in South Carolina, where he focused his practice on representing clients in the construction, real estate, and aviation industries in complex civil litigation.
Spencer earned his law degree from the University of Georgia School of Law, where he served as a notes editor of the Journal of Intellectual Property Law. He is admitted to practice in South Carolina, North Carolina, the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina, and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of North Carolina. Outside of work, Spencer enjoys fly fishing and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs.
