Parker Poe Attorney to Present at May 24th Seminar, "Selected Strategies on Mergers and Acquisitions in North Carolina"

Presented by Lorman Education Services, the seminar “Selected Strategies on Mergers and Acquisitions in North Carolina” will feature Parker Poe attorney, Edward (Ward) W. Wellman, Jr. as moderator.

Offering insight and strategies for addressing issues that arise to those representing buyers and sellers during the corporate combination process. Discussions will highlight the latest tax strategies used when structuring various acquisitive transactions, including taxable and tax-free acquisitions, and examine effective negotiating techniques, due diligence concerns, indemnification and successor liability, and other key issues. In addition to serving as moderator, Mr. Wellman will present an overview of a typical acquisition transaction.

This one-day seminar is designed for accountants, attorneys, lending professionals, presidents and vice presidents, treasurers and chief financial officers of business that may be considering buying or selling one or more lines of business.
