Mr. Brown has negotiated and drafted documents for a significant number of tax-free and taxable mergers and acquisitions. His practice includes tax planning and general corporate representation of for-profit and not-for-profit business entities and health care groups. Additionally, his practice involves representation of start-up corporations as well as general representation of these entities on a wide-range of issues, including, without limitation, health care issues. In addition to Mr. Brown’s business practice, he practices estate planning and administration.

Mr. Brown received his LL.M from Georgetown University (1988), his J.D. from Emory University School of Law (1979) and a B.A., with distinction, from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (1974). He is admitted to practice law in North Carolina, Georgia, and the District of Columbia. Prior to joining Parker Poe, Mr. Brown was a Partner with Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP.
