Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP announced that Catharine Biggs Arrowood has been named to the Lawdragon 500 Leading Lawyers in America.  The Lawdragon 500 list, culled from more than 15,000 attorneys nominated by their peers nationwide, represents fewer than one-half of one percent of America’s 1.1 million lawyers.  The selection was based on voting by and interviews with general counsel, clients and lawyers nationwide.  Ms. Arrowood was referred to as the “best kept secret in Raleigh, North Carolina” in the Lawdragon listing.

Ms. Arrowood has been practicing law for more than 30 years and focuses on “bet the company” litigation and resolution.  Ms. Arrowood is a native of Lumberton, North Carolina and is a partner in the Antitrust & Business Torts Practice Group of Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP.  She previously served on the Firm’s management committee and is currently serving as the President of the Wake County Bar Association and of the 10th Judicial District of the North Carolina State Bar.  She received a JD, cum laude, in 1976 and a BA, cum laude, in 1973 from Wake Forest University.

Ms. Arrowood has also been recognized among Woodward/White's The Best Lawyers in America, Business North Carolina magazine's "Legal Elite" and Law and Politics magazine’s North Carolina Super Lawyers.  She is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and is a member of the American Arbitration Association’s panel of Commercial Arbitrators.
