Southern Business & Development magazine listed Parker Poe as one of the top four South Carolina law firms for economic development matters. Specifically, Parker Poe attorneys Ray Jones and Sam Moses were named by the publication in their 2009 Economic Development "South's Best Trade Allies" directory.

The magazine conducted a survey of readers asking them to vote on the three best law firms, advisors and other consultants as they relate to economic development matters in the South's 17 states. In South Carolina, more than three firms were listed because there was a tie in the voting.

Southern Business & Development compiled the list in their Spring 2009 issue for readers looking to locate or expand in the South, which, according to the magazine, is the “world's fourth largest economy.”
