Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP announced today that A. Smith Podris joined the firm’s Litigation practice as an Associate in its Charleston, South Carolina office.

Smith Podris practices commercial and creditors' rights litigation. She represents lenders and other business clients on matters and issues including loan workouts/forbearance negotiations, commercial foreclosures, defending lender liability claims, breach of contract, business tort and other commercial litigation claims.

Prior to joining Parker Poe, Ms. Podris served as a law clerk for The Honorable Karen J. Williams, Chief Judge, United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. She received her BA, magna cum laude, from College of Charleston in 2003 and her JD, with honors, from Vanderbilt University in 2008.
