Former Assistant U.S. Attorney Joins Parker Poe

Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP announced today that Brian S. Cromwell, former Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Department of Justice, joined the Firm’s White Collar Criminal Defense & Internal Investigations practice as Special Counsel in its Charlotte office.

Brian Cromwell practices in the areas of white collar criminal defense, SEC enforcement defense, internal investigations and regulatory and compliance issues. Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Cromwell was both a state and federal prosecutor. From 1997-2000, he served as an Assistant District Attorney for Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, where he gained substantial investigative and trial experience in a variety of matters. From 2000-2004, Mr. Cromwell served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Department of Justice, Western District of North Carolina.

Prior to attending law school, Mr. Cromwell gained valuable experience as an analyst for a FORTUNE 100 company and a tax consultant for one of the “Big Eight” accounting firms, which sparked his practical and legal insight into complex corporate criminal issues.

Mr. Cromwell received his BA from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1987, and his JD from Fordham University School of Law in 1995.
