Parker Poe is currently assisting KCP Capital with the development of the Obra Pia hotel project in Cartagena, Colombia.

The project, located within Cartagena’s historic walled city and designed by award-winning architect Alvaro Barrera, is a redevelopment of a 17th century convent and adjacent properties into Colombia’s first true five-star hotel. The project will include a 115-room hotel, restaurant, and retail space on the last substantial undeveloped parcel for restoration in the Old City and is located adjacent to the largest park in the city and one block from the International Convention Center and the proposed World Trade Center complex.

Colombia has recently become a rising star in the hospitality industry and with its fusion of Latin and Caribbean culture, is quickly emerging as South America’s new chic destination.
