(RALEIGH, N.C.)—Russell B. Killen, a partner in the Raleigh office of Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP, was reelected to a second term as Mayor of Knightdale. Mr. Killen was first elected mayor in November 2007.

Mr. Killen is a partner in Parker Poe’s Litigation Department and represents clients in the areas of construction and contract negotiation. He has been named to Woodward/White’s The Best Lawyers in America in construction law, Business North Carolina magazine’s Legal Elite in construction, and the Triangle Business Journal’s 40 Under 40. Mr. Killen, who grew up in Knightdale, has used his knowledge of construction law to advise the county on ways to improve the construction of schools and county facilities as part of the Wake County Citizen’s Facilities Advisory Committee. He also serves on the executive committee of Wake Education Partnership and is the President of the Wake County Mayor’s Association.
Mr. Killen received his JD from Duke University and his BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
