(RALEIGH N.C.)—Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP announced today that Raleigh partner Kevin L. Chignell, was named the new Managing Partner of the Firm’s Raleigh office. Mr. Chignell will replace Henry C. Campen, Jr., who held the role for more than ten years.
“Kevin is a partner who is diligent, organized, respected, communicative and completely reliable,” said Mr. Campen. “I look forward to working with Kevin as he transitions into this new role.”
As the new Managing Partner, Mr. Chignell will oversee day-to-day operations with the assistance of the administrative management. He will work closely with the Firm’s leaders to ensure the success of the Raleigh team and office. Additionally, Mr. Chignell will continue his practice as a member of the Litigation Department, where he has extensive experience in the defense and representation of trucking and transportation clients. Mr. Chignell’s law practice includes defending wrongful death and serious personal injury claims to insurance coverage matters and commercial disputes. Prior to joining Parker Poe, he clerked for the Honorable William L. Osteen, United States District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina.
Mr. Chignell received his JD, with honors and his BS, with highest distinction, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Away from work, he is an avid mountain biker and competitor – he recently completed the PPD Beach2Battleship half iron distance triathlon in Wilmington, NC. Mr. Chignell also participates with his daughter in the YMCA of the Triangle Y-Princess program, where he is known only as “Racing Horse.”
